Sugaring

Sugaring is a method of hair removal that uses an all natural paste or gel made from ingredients like sugar, water, and lemon juice to remove the hair follicle from the root. Our salons use the paste method, in which a warmed thick mixture is applied first in the opposite direction of hair growth. The paste is then flicked off in the direction of hair growth to pull out the hair. Pulling hair out in the same direction of growth not only lessens the pain, but also lessens the strain on the skin and prevents breakage of the hair follicle. As a result, ingrown hairs don’t form and the surface stays hairless for as long as possible. Over time, when the hairs grow back, they become finer and softer. Furthermore, because the paste adheres to the hair and not the skin, removing the hair will not result in also removing a layer of skin. For this reason, sugaring will cause less irritation to the skin, which is why it is highly recommended for people with sensitive skin. Thus, pure and natural ingredients, less trauma to the skin, less ingrown hair, no risk of burning, and less pain…all this and a bonus smoothing treatment for the skin.
